request from the application; the request completes when the DSR signal indicates an
incoming call. A MODEM CONTROL disconnect request causes DTR to drop,
disconnecting the call.
If the line is not switched, the START or MODEM CONTROL request may cause the
ADCCP protocol task to assert DTR through the modem. If the DSR signal does not
appear within the interval specified for DSRTIMER, the START request completes with
a timeout.
SWOUTCARRIER
This modifier applies to full-duplex lines and specifies that RTS will be raised and CTS
awaited before the station begins transmission and that the RTS and CTS signals will
drop after transmission of a frame with the poll/final bit on. If you do not specify
SWOUTCARRIER, but you do specify NOCARRFATAL, RTS stays on from the time of
connection and CTS is monitored.
T1TIMER n
This modifier specifies the time interval within which a remote station must respond to
a link command or a frame with the poll/final bit on. The timer is started on completion
of an output frame that solicits a response from the remote station and is cleared on
receipt of the response frame. The value must be larger than the interval that is longer
than the sum of the following:
•
The transmission of a frame with an I-field of 2 times MAX_FRAME_SIZE bytes at
the rate of speed of the link
•
The clear-to-send (CTS) delay for the remote modem
•
The processing delay at the remote station
•
The time delay for the response
