ADCCP Modifiers
TWA
This modifier selects two-way alternate (TWA) frame transmission, which requires a
carrier drop or a link idle condition before a frame is sent. This modifier is meaningful
only for Normal Response Mode (NRM).
TWS
This modifier selects two-way simultaneous (TWS) frame transmission and is only
meaningful for NRM.
TWS transmission allows a primary station to continue sending frames after a frame
containing the poll bit is sent and before a frame containing the final bit is returned.
This delay in the return of the final bit results in a time overlap in transmission and
reception. TWA transmission does not allow such an overlap.
TYPE (m,n)
For SWAN concentrators, this modifier is mandatory and must be TYPE (51,2),
indicating that the concentrator is managed by the CP6100 subsystem.
