MPS-B Modifiers
MPSBNONE
This modifier specifies that parity-checking is not performed for the line.
MPSBNONSTOPOFF
This modifier specifies that the CLIP does not support fault-tolerant processing.
MPSBNONSTOPON
This modifier specifies that primary-backup process pair support for the host NonStop
system is in effect.
The CLIP NONSTOP mode is established during the line-task configuration by this
modifier. Primary-backup function is provided only for read and write CLIP requests,
and synchronization is ensured by using the request ID properly. The CLIP keeps track
of the read request ID and the write request ID separately. The line task, after receiving
a read or write request, checks the request ID with the last processed request. The
CLIP immediately returns the status of the last processed request only if the new
request has the same request ID as the saved (previous) one. Note that the NonStop
Kernel software, specifically the application process that communicates with CP6100,
must checkpoint the request ID in order to be synchronized with the CLIP.
MPSBODD
This modifier specifies odd parity-checking for the line.
