 Using CP6100: Programming
 • READ delivers unsolicited messages from the protocol task to
 the application. For example, in the case of a serious line
 quality problem, an application might want to know, even if no
 request is pending. To be sure to receive such information,
 an application keeps a READ call outstanding. SOME PROTOCOLS
 DO NOT SUPPORT THIS FEATURE.
