Using CP6100: Managing Lines
ALTER LINE <ldev>, OPCLASS
This command determines the range of protocols an LIU will
accept. Given the current product offering, the reasonable
values are BISYNC (if you're going to use the BSC, TINET, or MPSB
protocol), BITSYNC (if you're going to use the ADCCP protocol),
or ANY (if you plan to use both kinds of protocol on the same
line). The command is required if you wish to change from one
type of link to another.
This command takes effect when the line is downloaded; it
lasts until the next cold-load or the next time you give the
command.
Examining the Configuration
For each ALTER command in the preceding pages, CMI has an INFO
command to let you inspect the current values. The INFO command
is legal, regardless of the state of the line, but can supply
some information only if the LIU has been downloaded. (For
example, if the LIU has not been downloaded, INFO can't retrieve
any data from the configuration block.)
INFO LINE <ldev>, PROGRAM
This command displays the name of the file that will be
downloaded to the LIU unless the operator specifies another name
in the START command.
INFO LINE <ldev>, CONFIG
If the line is started, this command displays the values in the
configuration block in the LIU. If the line is stopped and
AUTOCONF is specified, this command displays the values in the
template block maintained by CP6100. You can specify an offset
into the block to see the value of one parameter.
