PREFACE
This book begins a series describing the CP6100 I/O process and
related protocols. The organization and content of the book
are as follows:
• Section 1 discusses the purpose of CP6100 and points out
advantages over ENVOY and ENVOYACP.
• Section 2 is an overview of CP6100 application programming,
without details or considerations for specific protocols.
• Section 3 is an overview of CP6100 system management. It
enumerates system management tasks and briefly describes the
software you use to perform the tasks.
• Appendix A is a list of file system errors CP6100 returns.
• Appendix B describes CPTEST, an interactive testing tool.
Other books in this series describe the protocols. The following
