CP6100 I/O Process Programming Manual

Preface
The CP6100 process is a low-level interface. The application
implements a part of the protocol and must therefore be closely
coupled with the protocol module. For this reason, you'll find
the books in this series more detailed than most, with
information about protocol internals, as well as user interfaces.
To prepare yourself to use any book in the CP6100 series, you
should read or review the following documents:
• GUARDIAN Operating System Programmer's Guide
• Transaction Application Language (TAL) Reference Manual
• System Management Manual (for Tandem NonStop Systems)
• Introduction to the Tandem 6100 Communications Subsystem
• Communications Management Interface (CMI) Operator's Guide
Each book that describes a protocol has additional prerequisites.
