Conversion Subvolume This field specifies the subvolume that will contain the Source Record Descriptions
files, DDL record descriptions files, and data input files. This subvolume is also the
subvolume where you ran the Project utility.
Source Record
Descriptions Files
This field specifies a prefix from 1 to 6 characters long of the file name of the Source
Record Descriptions file. A suffix of 01 to 99 is appended to form the complete Source
Record Descriptions file name. If your input is in IXF format, this name can be
DUMMY.

“Understanding Data Build Files.”
DDL Record Descriptions
Files
This field specifies a prefix from 1 to 6 characters long of the DDL file names. A suffix
of 01 to 99 is appended to form the complete DDL Record Descriptions file name.
Data Files IN This field specifies a prefix from 1 to 6 characters long of the input files. A suffix of 01
to 99 is appended to form the complete input file name.
Data Files OUT This field specifies a prefix from 1 to 6 characters long of the output files. A suffix of
01 to 99 is appended to form the complete output file name.
Option 1 This field specifies the output file format.
Options Meaning
Blank Data Build will create a program to convert the input to Enscribe format.
ENSCRIBE Data Build will create a program to convert the input to Enscribe format.
SQL-LOAD Data Build will create a program to convert the input to NonStop SQL format and
will load the table. If you have SQL-LOAD as your output in Option 1, you must
enter SORTED in Option 2.
SQL-INSERT Data Build will create a program to convert the input to NonStop SQL format and
insert the data into an existing table. If you have SQL-INSERT as your output in
Option 1, you should leave Option 2 blank.

Option 2 This field specifies whether the input data needs to be sorted. This option applies only
if option 1 is SQL-LOAD.
Options Meaning
Blank Input data is not sorted.
SORTED Input data is already sorted and does not need to be sorted again.
