Configuring the
Conversion
Environment (F1)
The Conversion Environment shows the location of the Source Record Descriptions
files, DDL record descriptions files, input files, output files, and system software. This
subsection explains the rules for the Conversion Environment field settings, shows
how to specify those settings, and describes each setting in detail.
How To Configure The initial settings in this screen are set for the Data Build samples, as shown in Figure
4-4; therefore, you will have to change the settings for your conversion.

To configure the Conversion Environment:
1. Complete the Conversion Environment worksheet shown in Table 4-1. Appendix
C, “Conversion Worksheets,” has a copy of this worksheet that you can reproduce.
2. Press F1 to display the Conversion Environment screen.
3. Change the necessary field settings using the information from the worksheet.
4. Press F14 to save those settings.
5. Press SF16 to return to the Main Menu.
