Exiting Data Build You are now in Data Build. If necessary you can exit Data Build during this tutorial.
To exit Data Build, do the following:
1. Press SF16 (EXIT).
Data Build returns to the TACL prompt and all processes are stopped.
2. To shut down the Pathway system when you exit Data Build, enter the following
at the TACL prompt:
3> OBEY XSTOP
Note that F10 on the Main Menu is for EDIT. We will discuss this shortly.
Configuring the
Conversion Environment
Press F1 to start the process that configures the Conversion Environment. The
Conversion Environment will have the information about the conversion project. For
example, the Conversion Environment shows the first six character prefixes of the
input, output, DDL record descriptions, and Source Record Descriptions file names.
The prefixes in the sample are all fixed characters. They each can be different lengths
from one to six characters.
