LIST Command
LINECOUNT Command Examples
This example sets the number of lines per page for the compiler listing pages to 60
lines:
37> DDL/IN myschema,OUT $S.#printer/LINECOUNT 60
The next example sets the number of lines per page for a schema report to 24:
38> DDL
!?REPORT $S.#printer
!?LINECOUNT 24
!?SOURCE myschema
!EXIT
LIST Command
The LIST command tells the DDL compiler to list subsequent source lines on the listing
destination. NOLIST stops the listing of source lines.
LIST
directs the DDL compiler to list all source lines. LIST is the default setting.
NOLIST
halts the listing of source lines from NOLIST to the next LIST command or to the
end of the source file.
LIST Command Guidelines
The following points are guidelines for using the LIST command:

The DDL listing destination can be specified as a parameter when DDL is executed
with the DDL run command or it can be specified as a parameter in the DDL OUT
command. For a description of the DDL run command, see Section 3, Running the
DDL Compiler.

The NOLIST command does not suppress the listing of error and warning
messages. Messages are listed regardless of the LIST command setting. If
NOLIST is in effect and an error is encountered, the line containing the error is
listed.
•
The NOLIST command does not suppress production comments. Production
comments describe such things as the total length of records and definitions and
also describe actions taken by the compiler such as adding a record to the
dictionary.
