Introduction

The Design Studio Tutorial provides a practical hands-on learning experience for

the components of the Design Studio. The Introduction to the Design Studio book

is a prerequisite for using this tutorial and is a part of the Mercator Online Library,

which is delivered on the product CD.

The concepts of using the Mercator Design Studio and terms such as mapping,

type trees, and other Design Studio terminology are presented in the Introduction

to the Design Studio.

The exercises in this tutorial provide experience with performing basic and

advanced functions using the client components of the Design Studio.
