Chapter 3 - IBM WebSphere MQ
Commands
This chapter describes the functions and usage of the IBM WebSphere MQ
commands and their respective options.
IBM WebSphere MQ Server Adapter
IBM WebSphere MQ supports both client and server modes either from a single
platform or distributed across multiple platforms. To select the correct client or
server adapter, you must specify the adapter to use for a source or target in map
cards, execution settings, or on the command line.
If you do not know the version of IBM WebSphere MQ software you are running,
contact your system administrator.
Using the Adapter Commands
Use the adapter commands to specify different queues, different queue managers,
specific messages by message ID, specific sets of messages with the same
message ID, message descriptors in your data, and more. You can also specify the
MQSeries messaging adapters in map rules and map cards using the Map
Designer, in map execution settings using the Integration Flow Designer, in
execution commands on the command line, in a command file, or with the
Platform API.
MQSeries Server Adapter
IBM MQSeries on the NonStop server supports the server mode either from a
single platform or distributed across multiple platforms. On the NonStop server
you always select MQSeries (server) messaging adapter to use as a source or
target in map cards, execution settings, or on the command line.
If you do not know the IBM MQSeries software you are running, contact your
system administrator.
