4 From the Window menu, choose Split.
The cursor turns into a crosshair and vertical and horizontal lines appear.
5 Position the crosshairs and click the mouse button.
All actions performed within a split window apply to the active system.
To remove a split from a window
1 Double-click the separator (or the separator junction).
The system window displays as a contiguous space (a single window).
