Toolbar Commands
The toolbarprovides quick access to various tools that invoke IFD actions while
you work with systems. The toolbar provides the tools generally available in
Window applications and tools specific to the IFD. The applicability and behavior of
each tool depends on the kind of component selected and its current state or view.
The tools listed in the following table do not have corresponding menu commands.
The tools that have menu commands are described in the Menu Commands
section.

Expand or
Contract
none
Switches the selected component
between expanded and contracted
views. The expanded view displays
sources and targets of a map or
subsystem component graphically.
Display or Hide
Links
none
Switches the view of the selected
system definition diagram between
displaying links and hiding links.
Open Type
Designer
none Opens the Type Designer as
appropriate for the selected input or
output card.
Open Database
Interface
Designer
none Opens the Database Interface Designer
as appropriate for the selected input or
output card.
Open Map
Designer
none Opens the Map Designer as appropriate
for the selected map component.
Build Maps none Builds only maps that are referenced by
the currently selected source map
components or subsystem components
contained in the active system window.
