The utility RSA BSAFE SSL-C from RSA Security Inc. and included in the Security
Option install, enables you to generate a self-signed digital certificate installable
on the Event Agent. A self-signed certificate is a digital certificate that is not
issued and signed by a CA. This type of certificate can be used when testing the
SSL capabilities of the Event Agent.
The RSA BSAFE SSL-C utility also enables you to generate a certificate signing
request (CSR). A CSR is submitted to a certificate authority in order to receive a
digital certificate for the Event Agent.
To access the RSA BSAFE SSL-C utility
1 From the command line, change to the Mercator installation directory.
2 Enter the following:
sslc.exe
3 At the sslc prompt, enter the following to access help:
help
