Chapter 9 – BEA TUXEDO Messaging Adapters
44
From the Map Designer
The BEA Tuxedo messaging adapters can be used as a source on an input map card, or as a data target
on an output map card.
For example, for the AdapterSource setting for an Input Card or the AdapterTarget setting for an
Output Card dialog, select the value Tuxedo or Tuxedo (MT). For the SourceAdapterCommand
value, enter the Caller Mode adapter command (-M), followed by any other adapter commands that are
appropriate for your purposes, as shown in the following dialog:
This Tuxedo service example input card shows the caller mode set to client with the Caller Mode
adapter command (-M C), the Service Name adapter command (-N INQ) specifies the Tuxedo service
name INQ, the Buffer adapter command (-B S,3,BAL) specifies a string of 3 characters of BAL, the
Application-Wide Password command (-AP jones) sets the application password to jones. The Trace
adapter command (–T) dictates that a trace file be created to report adapter activity information,
recording the events that occur while the adapter is retrieving this data.
