Chapter 4 - Database Interface
Designer Settings
When you define an NonStop SQL/MP database in the Database Interface
Designer, in addition to the common settings available for all the database-specific
adapters in the Database Definition dialog box, you need to enter the
information specific to NonStop SQL/MP.

The NonStop SQL/MP adapter-specific settings are described in the following table.
Note For the settings and descriptions shared by all database-specific adapters, refer to
the Resource Adapters Reference Guide.
Setting Description
Have Access to NonStop SQL/MP
Through ODBC
This check box determines whether you
will access your NonStop SQL/MP
database through ODBC and Client
Access for Windows 98 or NT.
Note If you do have ODBC access, the
ODBC Definition fields must be
assigned values.
ODBC Definition
Data source This is the data source you defined in
your development PC that is used by the
Database Interface Designer to access
the database information for design-time
purposes.
Security
Userid This is the user ID used to connect to
the database.
