Chapter 4 - Database Interface
Designer Settings
When you define a NonStop SQL/MX database in the Database Interface Designer,
in addition to the common settings available for all the database adapters in the
Database Definition dialog box, you need to enter the information specific to
SQL/MX.

The NonStop SQL/MX adapter-specific settings are described in the following
table.
Note For the settings and descriptions shared by all database adapters, refer to the
database adapter-specific section in the Resource Adapters Reference Guide.
Setting Description
Have access to NonStop SQL/MX
through ODBC
This option determines whether you will
access your NonStop SQL/MX database
through ODBC and Client Access for
Windows NT.
Note If you do have ODBC access, the
ODBC Definition fields must be
assigned values.
ODBC Definition
Data source The data source you defined in your
development PC that is used by the
Database Interface Designer to access
the database information for design-time
purposes
Security
User ID This is the user ID used to connect to
the database.
