Chapter 2 - Type Designer Basics  Toolbar 
Toolbar 
The toolbar is a part of the Type Designer window providing quick access to 
various tools that invoke Type Designer actions while working with types.

 and click the 
tool for which you want help.

File Menu (Alt+F) 
The File menu provides commands that are generally available in Windows 
applications. 
Command Tool Key Description 
New 
Ctrl+N  Creates a new type tree (.mtt) 
Open 
Ctrl+O  Opens an existing type tree 
Close    Alt+F, C  Closes the selected type tree 
Save 
Ctrl+S  Saves the selected type tree 
Save As  None  Alt+F, A  Saves the selected type tree under 
a new name 
Source Control  None  Alt+F, l   
Create Project  None  Alt+F, l+C  Creates a new project 
Open Project  None  Alt+F, l+O Opens a project 
Get Latest 
Version 
None  Alt+F, l+G Gets the latest version of the 
selected file 
Check Out  None  Alt+F, l+e  Checks out the selected file 
Check In  None  Alt+F, l+I  Checks in the selected file 
Undo Check Out  None  Alt+F, l+U Undoes the check out of the 
selected file
