Chapter 2 - Type Designer Basics Configuring the Type Designer Environment
♦ Change the look of the tools on the toolbar (see the Introduction to the Design
Studio for details on customizing the toolbar.)
♦ Assign shortcut keys (see the Introduction to the Design Studio for details on
creating shortcut keys.)
Options
From the Tools menu, select Options. The Options dialog box appears enabling
you to select choices that represent various aspects of the Type Designer
environment and configure them as desired.
General
Use General options to specify the time interval for automatically saving open
type tree files. This option also includes Backup on save (enabled by default)
which causes a backup copy of each type tree file to be created when the file is
saved.
Use the Commit changes with option to select the key(s) used to commit
changes made in the Type Designer.
Value Description
Enter & Tab When enabled, the Enter key and Tab key can be used to make
changes to components.
Enter When enabled, the Enter key can be used to make changes to
components.
