Numbers have implied decimal places. The number of decimal places cannot
exceed the length specification. The list of available decimal places varies with the
length selected. In the Value column, enter a total number of decimal places (not
to exceed 31).
Size (content)
Use the Size property to specify the minimum and maximum size of an item’s
content.
The content size of a text item includes the digits of data, excluding the initiator,
terminator, separator, release characters, and pad characters. However, when you
use the
SIZE function, separators and signs are included in the count.
If there is no maximum content size, a Max value is not required.
Property Description
Min The minimum number of digits of the item.
The default value is 0.
Max The maximum number of digits of the item.
Excluded from Min and Max Size
For character number items, there are certain objects excluded from the Min or
Max count. For each Presentation option, the following table lists what is
excluded from the minimum or maximum Size (content) count.
