Chapter 3 – Version 6.7
Version 6.7 offers new enhancements and features that empower customers for
B2B expansion, provide extended support for Java and other key industry
standard, and extend the performance, scalability and manageability of customers'
existing systems and applications. These important new enhancements continue
to build on Mercator's state-of-the-art integration solution, industry-leading
transformation and routing, scalable, open and flexible architecture, best-of-breed
components, and robust, ready-to-use adapters.
Significant changes introduced in Version 6.7 are described in the following
sections.
WebSphere MQ Integrator (WMQI) Plug-In
The new WebSphere MQ Integrator (WMQI) Plug-In parser invokes a map to
transform an incoming byte stream into an element tree, while the plug-in node
transforms one element tree into another. These maps can use resource adapters
in other cards not occupied by the transformation to access the numerous
resources that Mercator software supports.
Mercator Programming Interfaces
The following features in the Mercator Programming Interface are new for v6.7:
♦ Ability to
GET and SET object properties through XML documents.
♦ Ability to retrieve stream objects via the following methods:
! AdaptGetInputStreamObject
! AdaptGetOutputStreamObject
