Using DCE Documentation
The OSS shell man command truncates logical section designators of more than one
character. The NonStop DCE reference pages therefore use one-character section
designators. References within OSF documentation to four-character section
designators should be interpreted accordingly. For example, a reference to the
idl(1rpc) reference page in the OSF manuals is equivalent to this OSS shell
command:
man 1 idl
