TGS_REQ
specifies the host address.
requesting-client-and-server-information
provides information about the requesting client and server.
Cause. This event is logged by the ticket-granting server (TGS) to indicate that one of
the following errors (detailed in the log) occurred while a request was being processed:
•
When TGS processes a request from a client for a ticket to a particular service, it
verifies whether the server principal in the ticket belongs to the local realm. If it
does not, TGS rejects the request and logs an appropriate error message because
it can issue tickets only for servers in its own realm.
•
When the cell time is out of synchronization (because clocks on DCE master and
client machines have a time difference of more than 5 minutes) and an
authenticated client requests a ticket, TGS verifies the authenticator timestamp and
rejects the client request with an appropriate error message.
Effect. Security demon processing continues.
Recovery. No operator action is possible.
TGS_REQ
authtime
specifies the authentication timestamp (optional).
error-code-or-message
provides the error code or error message (if any).
host
specifies the host address.
requesting-client-and-server-information
provides information about the requesting client and server.
Cause. This event is logged by the ticket-granting server (TGS) when:
•
A ticket to a particular service of a Privilege Service ticket is granted to the
requesting client. In this case, the TGS has been presented with a ticket-granting
ticket (TGT). (This is an informative message; no recovery action is required.)
•
An error occurs (detailed in the logged message) during processing of a request
from a client for a ticket to a particular service.
