Preparing to Install NonStop DCE
This section describes the HP NonStop DCE hardware and software requirements and
the steps you must take before installing NonStop DCE.
Hardware and Software Requirements
NonStop DCE has the minimum hardware and software requirements listed in
Table 2-1. For optimum recommendations, see Section 6, Recommended Usage.

If virtual host cloning will be used, 40 MB of
disk space in the OSS fileset containing the
/opt directory
•
If virtual host cloning is not used, 110 MB of
disk space in the OSS fileset containing the
/opt directory and an additional 40 MB of disk
space in the Guardian file system for the
installed shared run-time library
For each NonStop DCE virtual host, one processor
and one LAN controller (two processors are
recommended for fault-tolerant operation)
For each NonStop DCE virtual host,
one uniquely named non-LOOP-BACK
subnet of the $ZTCnn process
