Initial Installation or Complete Reinstallation
2. Verify that the archive files are in the NonStop DCE ISV or TSV:
The archive files for DCE Core Services (T8403) must be present.
The archive files for one of DCE Security Core Services - Export (T8328) or
DCE Security Core Services - USA (T8329) must be present.
The DCE CDS Server (T8330) or the DCE Security Server (T8331) or both
might be present.
3. Log on as the super ID (255,255).
4. Execute an OSS shell by entering this command at a TACL prompt:
osh
5. If an existing virtual host is being replaced, enter this command at the OSS shell
prompt (otherwise, skip to Step 13):
/etc/dce_config [ -h hostname ]
where hostname is the hostname of the existing virtual host, if one was assigned.
6. On the main menu, stop all NonStop DCE demons by selecting option 4 (STOP).
7. Leave the dce_config utility by selecting option 99.
8. Repeat Step 5 and Step 7 for each clone of the existing installation.
9. Verify that all NonStop DCE demons have stopped by entering this command at an
OSS shell prompt:
gtacl -c "STATUS *,USER"
10. Enter this command at an OSS shell prompt:
/etc/dce_config [ -h hostname ]
where hostname is the hostname of the existing virtual host, if one was assigned.
Select option 6 (REMOVE) on the main menu.
11. Leave the dce_config utility by selecting option 99.
12. Repeat Step 10 and Step 11 for each clone of the existing installation.
13. Enter this pax command at the OSS shell prompt:
pax -rv -p e -f /G/ISV-vol/zdce/dceconf
where /G/ISV-vol/zdce is the ISV or TSV for DCE Core Services (T8403). This
command copies the dce_config utility and the files it needs into the /etc
directory of the OSS file system.
14. If NonStop DCE was previously installed on this system, verify that no programs
have the DCE SRL (TNS version of DCE) or DCE user library (TNS/R and TNS/E
