Binary Files
Binary Files
The dce_config utility installs the NonStop DCE binary files into
/opt/dcelocal.hostname/bin.
For the convenience of application programmers and DCE users, the system
administrator might want to copy some of the binary files to a standard OSS directory,
such as /usr/bin. The following binary files are commonly used and should be
considered for this additional location:
idl
uuidgen
dce_login
The alternative is to add /opt/dcelocal.hostname/bin to the PATH environment
variable in the .profile file for each user of hostname.
Table 3-3. OSS Directories
Directory Description

time-zone files from the
/opt/dcelocal/etc/zoneinfo directory.

files and the machine keytab file v5srvtab.

the pathname of the TNS shared run-time library
file for NonStop DCE applications.
