6. Enter y or n as appropriate.
dce_config starts the dced demon, and this prompt is displayed:

7. Enter any string (without embedded blanks). You will not need to use this string
again.
dce_config displays this prompt:
Enter desired principal name for the Cell Administrator:

8. Press Return, which causes the default principal name, cell_admin, to be used.
9. Follow the prompts to enter a password for cell_admin (for example, -dce-).
The principal name cell_admin and the password you enter are used throughout
DCE cell configuration.
These actions occur:
The security database is created, and the security demon secd is started. The
security demon is responsible for establishing the default machine security.
dce_config waits until default credential files are created.
Security principals are added to the security registry database, and security
initialization is complete.
The initial cell configuration menu is redisplayed.
10. Continue with the procedure described in Configuring the Initial Cell Directory
Service (CDS) Server.

Repeat this procedure for each virtual host in the cell to configure the cdsd demon:
1. From the initial cell configuration menu, select option 2 (Initial CDS Server).
2. Respond to the dce_login prompt by entering the principal name and password
of the cell administrator.
The dce_config script displays this prompt:
