DIR_REPLICATE Controls the replication of CDS directories when an
additional CDS server is being created at DCE
configuration time.
The value y causes dce_config to prompt for more
directories to replicate; n suppresses further
replication.
The default value is n.
DISPLAY_THRESHOLD Specifies the messages to write to the standard
output file. Valid values are ERROR, WARNING,
SUMMARY, DETAIL, VERBOSE, and DEBUG.
The default value is SUMMARY.
DO_CHECKS Controls whether the prompt
Press <RETURN> to continue,
CTRL-C to exit:
is returned when dce_config encounters a nonfatal
error. This prompt forces the user to acknowledge
the error and offers a way to exit dce_config.
The value y displays the prompt; n does not.
The default value is y.
When DO_CHECK has the value y during
configuration of a security server and a security
client, a check is made that a kerberos5 entry
exists in /G/system/ztcpip/services.
DTS_CONFIG Specifies the kind of configuration to do for a
distributed time service (DTS) server during DCE
client configuration.
Valid values are clerk, global, local, and none.
The default value is clerk.
Refer to the description of the config component in
the Command File subsection of this reference
page for the affect of specifying one of these
values.
EXIT_ON_ERROR Indicates whether dce_config exits in the event of
a fatal error.
The value
y indicates that dce_config exits when it
encounters a fatal error; n indicates it does not exit.
The default value is n.
This variable can help prevent a “here” file from
getting out of synchronization with dce_config.
