ADD ALIASTYPE The ADD ALIASTYPE command defines a new alias type. This command may be
used only in definition mode. For more information about using the ADD command,
see “Notes About ADD Commands” at the beginning of this section.

may be omitted if the default object is ALIASTYPE.
alias type
is the name of the alias type to be added. This must conform to the specific name
characteristics included in the subsection “Defining Composite-Type Names” in
Section 4.
an alias type
is the name of some other alias type. This causes all ALIASTYPE attributes to
assume creation values equal to those defined for
an alias type
.

is a system or name manager where
an alias type
is defined. If omitted, the
current name manager is assumed.
parameter
is one of the following:
DOMAIN {
domain
| LOCAL }
domain
is the default domain for instances of the alias type.
LOCAL
indicates that the default domain for instances of the alias type is to be
empty.
