The DNSCOM Commands
31258 Tandem Computers Incorporated 7–21
-
indicates that
composite
should not be added to the listed groups, even
if those groups have been specified in previous SET COMPOSITE
commands.
If neither + nor - appears,
composite
is added to the groups listed.
group list
is the name(s) of at least one group defined on the local system. Multiple
group names are separated by commas (,) and must be enclosed in
parentheses.
RESET DOMAIN
indicates that the domain of
composite
should revert to the domain of the
type of composite object being added.
RESET GROUPS [ * ]
indicates that
composite
is not to be included as a member of any group.
TYPE
composite type
composite type
is the type of composite to be added. This must have been previously
defined using the ADD COMPOSITETYPE command. This is a required
parameter.
Example
ADD ATM44, LU \A.$LINE4.#ATM44, TERM TERM-006, &
SESSION #LINE4.ATM44, TYPE ATM
Considerations
The following must be specified, either by using the SET COMPOSITE command
or by inclusion as
parameters
in the ADD COMPOSITE command:
TYPE
This must name the type of composite being added.
COMPONENT
Each component specified when the composite type was defined must be
specified. The number and type of components is defined by an ADD
COMPOSITETYPE command.
If any component does not exist in the DNS database, an error message is issued
and the composite is not added. A composite must be defined on the same system
as each of its components.
