DELETE SS The DELETE SS command purges subsystem names and their definitions from the
DNS database. This command may be used only in definition mode.

is:

may be omitted if
subsystem
is unique in the command name manager’s
database.
subsystem
is the name of a subsystem to be deleted.
SS *
means that all subsystem names in the command name manager’s database are to
be included for deletion.

is a system or name manager where the command is to be executed. If omitted,
the current name manager is assumed.

If present, DNSCOM does not prompt for confirmation before deleting each name.
If omitted, DNSCOM prompts for confirmation. At each prompt, you have the
following options: retain the subsystem, delete the subsystem, delete all remaining
subsystems specified by the delete expression, or abort the command.

Consideration
If a subsystem is being deleted and subsystem-object types or managers for the
subsystem exist in the command name manager’s database , DNSCOM issues a
warning message and the subsystem is not deleted. Subsystem names may be deleted
only in definition mode.
