By specifying the domain of a name, you permit or restrict the visibility and use of that
name on other nodes. Operators and applications on any node in the domain can use
the name or obtain information about it from local DNS processes.
Domains can be automatically assigned when defining alias and object names. See
“DOMAIN Attribute for SSTYPE Definitions” in Section 4 for more details.
Groups A group is a set of related DNS object names. The members of a group may include
aliases, composites, or other groups. The names can have any relationship you like.
DNS maintains the following information about groups:
A list of members of each group
For each alias, composite, and group, a list of the groups of which the name is a
member
The domain of the group name
