STATUS DNS The STATUS DNS command displays the status of a DNS configuration.

DNS
may be omitted if the default object is DNS.

system
is a Guardian 90 system name. If included, specifies the system for which DNS
status is desired. If omitted, the local (OPEN) system is assumed. If no system is
currently open, the system specified by the last CMDSYS command is assumed.
name manager
is the process name of a running name manager.
DETAIL
includes additional status information in the display (see below).
The format of the status display is dependent upon the current state of DNS and the
inclusion of DETAIL in the command.
If DNS is in the STOPPED state, the display is similar to the following:
DNS Status at 11:29:39 , 15 Nov 1992
State: STOPPED
If DNS is running and DETAIL is not included, the display is similar to the following:
DNS status at 08:11:26 , 16 Nov 1992 SYSTEM \NOREAST
State: RUNNING

Note 1. The manager’s backup CPU is 10, but the manager does not currently have a backup process.
2. The backup CPU for the exporter is 10.
