DNSCOM Error Messages

Error 1007 ERROR 1007 - Unable to Apply Default System to this File Name

file name
The indicated file name has an eight-character device name (including $) and hence
cannot be placed in network format.
Error 1008 ERROR 1008 - Wrong Name Type -
name
While
name
exists in the DNS database, it has the wrong type to be used as it was in
the current command.
Error 1009 ERROR 1009 - Parameter Not Legal for -
dnstype
The indicated parameter is not legal in commands whose subject is indicated by
dnstype
.
Error 1010 ERROR 1010 - Symbol Table Overflow
This error indicates that DNSCOM has run out of space in its symbol table. This error
should be reported to your Tandem representative.
Error 1011 ERROR 1011 - Illegal Character
The indicated character may not appear in a DNSCOM command.
Error 1012 ERROR 1012 - Not Allowed
This error is returned in the following cases:
An OBEY command is not the last command on a DNSCOM input line or in a
continued command sequence.
An ALTER command specifies a name that may not be altered.
Error 1013 ERROR 1013 - Network Form Not Allowed
A file name in network form is specified where DNSCOM expects a local file name.
