Operational Notes
If ZDNS-MAP-INFO-DNSTYPE-PF1 or ZDNS-MAP-INFO-DNSTYPE-PF2 is
supplied, responses of format ZDNS-DDL-INFO-DNSTYPE-BR are returned.
Multiple responses are possible only when ZDNS-MAP-INFO-DNSTYPE-PF1 is
supplied with ZNAME = “*”:
[ZSPI-TKN-DATALIST]
[ZDNS-MAP-INFO-DNSTYPE-BR] (first alias type)
[ZSPI-TKN-RETCODE] = 0
[ZSPI-TKN-DATALIST]
[ZDNS-MAP-INFO-DNSTYPE-BR] (second alias type)
[ZSPI-TKN-RETCODE] = 0
.
.
[ZSPI-TKN-CONTEXT] (if more responses are available)
ZDNS-MAP-INFO-DNSTYPE-PF2 is supplied for the convenience of third-party
subsystem suppliers. It allows each installation to assign its own names to alias
types defined by the third party, while permitting management applications
supplied by third parties to determine those installation-assigned names.
If ZDNS-MAP-INFO-ATYPE-SSTYPE is supplied, one ZDNS-MAP-INFO-
SSTYPE-BR response is returned for each subsystem-object type permitted to have
aliases of the type supplied in ZTYPE. If no subsystem-object types are found on
the initial request, the response buffer contains ZSPI-TKN-RETCODE = ZDNS-
ERR-NOSSTYPES.
Where multiple ZDNS-MAP-INFO-SSTYPE-BR tokens are returned in a single
response buffer, each token is enclosed in a standard SPI data list:
[ZSPI-TKN-DATALIST]
[ZDNS-MAP-INFO-SSTYPE-BR] (first subsystem object type)
[ZSPI-TKN-RETCODE] = 0
[ZSPI-TKN-DATALIST]
[ZDNS-MAP-INFO-SSTYPE-BR] (second subsystem object type)
[ZSPI-TKN-RETCODE] = 0
[ZSPI-TKN-CONTEXT] (if additional responses are available)
The DNSCOM command “INFO ALIASTYPE CIRCUIT, SSTYPES” first makes a
request with the ZNAME field of ZDNS-MAP-INFO-DNSTYPE-P containing
“CIRCUIT”.
If CIRCUIT is found, DNSCOM then proceeds with additional requests to retrieve
the allowed subsystem types with the ZNAME of ZDNS-MAP-INFO-ATYPE-
SSTYPE = CIRCUIT.
