where cause is dependent on the value of cause number as follows:

Primary abended ZDNS-VAL-TAKEOVER-ABEND
Primary CPU failure ZDNS-VAL-TAKEOVER-CPU
Operator command ZDNS-VAL-TAKEOVER-SWITCH
ZDNS-VAL-TAKEOVER-UNKNOWN
What Happens
Unless the takeover occurred as a result of a CPU failure, an attempt to create a new
backup is made after a 30-second delay.
In the case of CPU failure, a new backup is created 30 seconds after receipt of a CPU
RELOADED system message by the (new) primary process.
Recommended Action
If the takeover cause was “Primary abended,” you should investigate the event log
further to determine why.
