DNS Definitions Definitions whose names begin with ZDNS are DNS definitions. These definitions
consist of simple tokens and extensible structured tokens used in DNS commands and
responses. They are provided in the ZSPIDEF.ZDNSDDL file and in the
corresponding files for other languages.
The DNS definitions that appear in several commands, responses, or event messages
are described in the following subsections. Information specific to a particular
command, response, or event message is discussed in the individual descriptions in
Sections 5 and 6, respectively.
Table 4-5 lists the DNS definitions used in the management-programming interfaces to
the DNS subsystem. These definitions consist of command numbers; object types;
simple tokens used in DNS commands, responses, and event messages; and token field
values. This table does not list error numbers or definitions used only in error lists;
these are listed in Appendix D.
Appendix A provides a complete list of all DNS token codes and gives the token type
or token map name for each. Appendix B provides a complete list—including
definitions—of all DNS tokens that appear in event messages only.
