5 Template Installation Program
The Template Installation Program (TEMPLI) merges a specified collection of template
files and places the resulting templates in two files:
•
Nonresident template file. This file contains both the resident and the nonresident
templates.
•
Resident template file. This file contains only the resident templates. (SEE
RESIDENT Option on page 3-17.)
These templates are used by the EMSTEXT and SPI_BUFFER_FORMAT procedures,
which are called by application programs. For more information, see Section 6,
Installing Templates.
Often, you do not execute TEMPLI directly, but indirectly through SYSGEN. In either
case, an overall understanding of TEMPLI operation can help.
