About This Manual
This manual describes DSM Template Services, which consists of several utilities that
let you display tokenized messages as text, either as token listings or operator
messages. Template Services is an integral part of the services provided by
Distributed Systems Management (DSM).
DSM is based on the Subsystem Programmatic Interface (SPI). Template Services lets
you list the tokens and token values in an SPI command, response, or event message,
which is useful for debugging applications. Template Services also supports the
SPI-based Event Management Service (EMS). Template Services lets you construct an
operator message from an event message, letting operators see a message about an
event.
