Central Node Handles Events for All Distributed Nodes
To have a central node handle events for all distributed nodes, create a conglomerate
nonresident template file on a central node. This file will contain all the templates
needed to interpret events from the distributed nodes and from the central node.
You can use two procedures to create the conglomerate template file.
Procedure 1
1. Install the new version of software on the central node and on all nodes that send
events to the central node.
2. Determine where the current nonresident template file is stored on each node. If
you do not know the name of a nonresident template file, use the SCF INFO
SUBSYS $ZZKRN command, as described in Task 3: Find the Current Template
Files on page 6-2. The nonresident template file is often located in
$SYSTEM.SYSnn (the coldload subvolume), and the default file name is
TEMPLATE. For example:
> SCF INFO SUBSYS $ZZKRN
