Central Node Handles Events for All Distributed
Nodes
Procedure 2
1. Prepare the SYSGENR CONFTEXT file for the central node:
a. Make sure this line is included in the ALLPROCESSORS paragraph, specifying
that you will use the CONFAUX file:
FORMATTER_TEMPLATE_FILES TANDEM^FORMATTER^TEMPLATE^FILES;
b. If you have customized templates that the central node needs to interpret (such
as templates that the distributed nodes use), you can add their names to this
line, separated by commas. For example, if a template object file is called
sub1, enter:
FORMATTER_TEMPLATE_FILES TANDEM^FORMATTER^TEMPLATE^FILES,
SUB1;
To install a user-written template using DSM/SCM, refer to the
DSM/SCM Users
Guide
.
2. Start DSM/SCM. Execute the RESTDSV phase and start the SYSGENR phase.
During the SYSGENR phase:
a. Enter y at this prompt:
NONSTOP KERNEL - Info SUBSYS \EAST.$ZZKRN

Note. This procedure is useful only if you are installing software for all nodes from one node.
Before you begin this procedure, transfer the information on the tape to the node. If you are
installing software on each node separately, use Procedure 1
on page 6-7.
Do you want to be prompted for SYSGENR specifications during the SYSGENR
phase (e.g. if you intend to modify the CONFAUX file before running
SYSGENR, or you want to run SYSGENR more than once)? [Y/N]:
