1 Introduction
What Is DSM Template Services?
DSM Template Services consists of a variety of utilities that enable you to display
tokenized messages as text, either as operator messages or token listings. Templates
instruct Template Services procedures called by applications how to construct the text.
Template Services is an integral part of the services that Distributed Systems
Management (DSM) provides.
DSM is based on the Subsystem Programmatic Interface (SPI), which consists of
procedures, definitions, and protocols and provides the rules and the means for DSM
applications to interact. Template Services enables you to view tokenized event,
command, and response messages that follow SPI specifications.
