Volume Name Validation Messages
Volume Name Validation Messages
Before ZPHIRNM begins processing, it checks the volume containing the target
subvolumes (TSVs). These messages might be issued during this check:
Cause. If primary and alternate volume names are used, DSM/SCM requires that at
least one of the names in each pair be unique. In this case, two target subvolumes
(TSVs) had identical primary and alternate names.
Effect. ZPHIRNM terminates.
Recovery. Rename one of the volumes so that the primary name, the alternate name,
or both, are different. Then rerun ZPHIRNM.
Cause. ZPHIRNM attempted to rename files on
volume1
but could not find the
volume label information, which is normally stored on the volume. There is probably an
error on the disk volume.
Effect. ZPHIRNM terminates.
Recovery. Correct the disk error; then rerun ZPHIRNM. If necessary, contact your
service provider and provide all relevant information:
•
Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as the $ZPHI Event Management Service (EMS)
logs and trace files (if requested by your service provider)
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.
Both
volume1
and
volume1
have the same primary and alternate
volume names. ZPHIRNM is unable to determine which volume to
use.
ZPHIRNM can’t find label information for
volume1
.
