Volume Name Validation Messages
Cause. ZPHIRNM attempted to rename the files on a volume but could not find the
volume label information for either the primary or alternate volume names. There is
probably an error on the disk volume.
Effect. ZPHIRNM terminates.
Recovery. Correct the disk error; then rerun ZPHIRNM. If necessary, contact your
service provider and provide all relevant information:
•
Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as the $ZPHI Event Management Service (EMS)
logs and trace files (if requested by your service provider)
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.
Cause. An error occurred when ZPHIRNM called the internal Peripheral Utility
Program (PUP) routine to check the volume label. The text of the PUP error is given in
this message.
Effect. ZPHIRNM terminates.
Recovery. Correct the disk error; then rerun ZPHIRNM. If necessary, contact your
service provider and provide all relevant information:

Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as the $ZPHI Event Management Service (EMS)
logs and trace files (if requested by your service provider)
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.
ZPHIRNM can’t find label information for either volume1 or
volume2 .
