EMS Event Generation Messages
EMS Event Generation Messages
When an error occurs during an attempt to create an EMS message, ZPHIRNM issues
these messages:
Cause. An error occurred when ZPHIRNM attempted to create an EMS termination
message. This message gives the name of the Subsystem Programmatic Interface
(SPI) or EMS function that was executing when the error occurred and the text of the
SPI error.
Effect. ZPHIRNM terminates without creating the EMS message.
Recovery. Contact your service provider and provide all relevant information:
•
Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as the $ZPHI Event Management Service (EMS)
logs and trace files (if requested by your service provider)
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.
Cause. An error occurred when ZPHIRNM attempted to issue an EMS message
stating that it had finished processing.
Effect. ZPHIRNM terminates without issuing the EMS message.
Recovery. For a description of the error indicated by error-number , see the
Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual . If you cannot determine the cause,
contact your service provider and provide all relevant information:

Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as the $ZPHI Event Management Service (EMS)
logs and trace files (if requested by your service provider)
If your local operating procedures require contacting the Global Customer Support
Center (GCSC), supply your system number and the numbers and versions of all
related products as well.
SPI error spi-error occurred while invoking spi/ems function .
Zphirnm is unable to issue the EMS termination message.
File system error error-number occurred while writing to $0.
ZPHIRNM is unable to issue the EMS termination message.
