1 INITENV Messages
This section describes the warning and error messages issued by INITENV and by the
stages INITENV performs during its initialization processing:
Certain INITENV messages are issued when a file-system error occurs during an
attempt to access an internal file. When this occurs, INITENV issues a general
message indicating where the error occurred and reports the file-system error number.
For brief descriptions of file-system errors, see Section 7, File-System Errors. For
detailed descriptions, see the
Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual.
Some INITENV messages are issued when an internal stage called by INITENV
detects an error. In these cases, INITENV issues its own general message and
includes a detailed message issued by the stage. These messages are identified by
the stage name, such as INITSQL ERROR or INITTDB ERROR.
For most errors, the suggested recovery action involves correcting the error, then
rerunning INITENV. When you rerun INITENV, it performs only tasks that were not
completed. It does not repeat previously completed tasks.
