INITENV Messages

These errors are related to the initialization of the DSM/SCM environment:

Cause. A user ran the CLEANOSS macro.

Effect. All DSM/SCM target work files are removed from the OSS environment.

Recovery. Informational message; no corrective action is needed.

Cause. You attempted to use the CHANGE-HOST run-line option on a host system.

Effect. INITENV terminates.

Recovery. Run INITENV interactively, select the Change option, indicate that this

system is a target, and specify the host system.

Cause. The run-line options CHANGE-HOST and DEFAULTS were used together.

Effect. INITENV terminates.

Recovery. Do not use run-line options CHANGE-HOST and DEFAULTS together.

Cause. You either entered an invalid system name or no system name for the

CHANGE-HOST option.

Effect. INITENV terminates.

Recovery. Enter a valid system name.

CLEANOSS is about to remove all the DSM/SCM target work files

from the OSS environment. This will not affect the current

set of installed files. If you are unsure, you can run

CLEANOSS with the LISTONLY option to list the files that will

be removed.

INITENV ERROR: CHANGE-HOST not allowed on a host system. Run

INITENV interactively, select the Change option, indicate

that this system is a target, and specify the host system.

INITENV ERROR: Invalid parameters to INITENV, DEFAULTS and

CHANGE-HOST not allowed together.

INITENV ERROR: Invalid or missing host system name after

CHANGE-HOST. A valid system name must follow CHANGE-HOST.
