INITENV Messages
Cause. The IP port number you entered is in use. This message lists the name of the
file and the line number that define the service using the IP port number.
Effect. INITENV pauses and lets you enter a new IP port number.
Recovery. Enter a new IP port number, ensuring that it is the same one specified
when running the SETUP program on the PC.
Cause. You entered a value other than R or C.
Effect. INITENV pauses and lets you reenter the value.
Recovery. Enter R if this is a reinstallation of DSM/SCM or C if this is a continuation of
the current installation of DSM/SCM.
Cause. You entered a value other than R or W.
Effect. INITENV pauses and lets you reenter the value.
Recovery. Enter R if you will use RSC or W if you will use Winsock.
Cause. INITENV could not find the TCP/IP LISTNER program in the current SYS nn
on your system. When prompted for more information, you did not enter a valid
response.
Effect. INITENV pauses and lets you enter a new response.
Recovery. Enter one of:
INITENV ERROR: This IP Port number is in use by the service
defined on line n in the file filename . Please choose a
different IP Port number (must be the same number specified
in SETUP on the PC).
INITENV ERROR: This question requires that you enter either
“R” for Re-installation or “C” for Continuation.
INITENV ERROR: This question requires that you enter either
“R” or “W”. Please retry.
INITENV ERROR: This question requires that you enter either
“R”, “W”, or “C”. Please retry.
R To use RSC instead of Winsock
W To obtain TCP/IP for this host and select Winsock again
C To either skip setting up the DSM/SCM Winsock Service or to modify the
SERVICES and PORTCONF files without starting the LISTNER process
